José Manuel Berenguer is a coordinator and professor of Psychoacoustics and Experimental Music at Sound Art Master – University of Barcelona, and the director of Orquestra del Caos. Honorary Chairman of ICEM (CIM/UNESCO), Vice Chairman of Fundació d'Artistes Visuals de Catalunya, member of Académie Internationale de Musique Electroacoustique/Bourges and Phonos Foundation.
His works include aspects of the history of science, limits of language, ethics, artificial life and intelligence, robotics, metabolism of information, and limits of human abilities. Among them, Luci won the Prix ARCO-Beep on Electronic Art in 2008. His recent work includes BienenVolk (Studio for Electroacoustic Music at the Akademie der Künste, Berlin) and Expanded Voice, based on Walter Benjamin’s work Passagen-Werk (Loop Festival Barcelona).
